Serious damage to home
Back in August of this year we found we were no longer getting hot water. I suspected the water heater. Then we discovered that the carpet in the hall was wet. When I went to start cleaning out the spare room, I discovered that the carpet was wet in there as well. We also discovered that part of the carpet in my son's room was wet.
We live in a mobile home and the water heater was not in the utility room, where one would expect a water heater to be. It turned out to be hidden behind a panel in my son's closet. When I finally found out where it was, I was so angry that I tore the panel off with my bare hands and threw it across the room.
I only make $1400 a month after taxes and insurance come out of my paycheck. Most of this goes to mortgage ($650 a month) and lot rent ($450 a month.) We have been without running water since August. We only turn the water valve on long enough to flush the toilet as every time we turn it on, more water seeps out.
We need a new water heater. We also need to replace the carpet in three rooms. My son needs a new bed as his is quite old and the springs are literally coming up through the matress. If possible it would also be wonderful to have a new washing machine (for when we have a water heater again--I do not own a working washing machine) a new stove (I have cooked in a small convection oven for the last 3 years) a new dishwasher (it has not worked in 5 years) and a new refrigerator (it works but is quite old and it may go at any time.)
Any little bit can help and would be very much appreciated.
